MANAGING DIRECTOR (CO-FOUNDER) | BEng, MAICD

Electrician and electrical engineer working with solar technologies since 1995.  David and I worked together for many years in the solar industry, designing and installing solar systems before establishing AC Solar Warehouse. I am extremely proud of the team who work so hard to help solar installers save time and money with supply of high quality solar and energy storage products.

David Smyth

DIRECTOR (CO-FOUNDER) | BEng Elect (Hons), RPEQ, MAICD

Electrician and electrical engineer working with solar technologies since 1995.  I work with Grant to develop cost effective product procurement solutions for solar installers saving them time and money with their residential and commercial solar installations. I get a lot of satisfaction seeing more solar and storage being installed saving money for households and businesses.

Tom Peters

ENGINEERING MANAGER | BEng (Hons), MIEAust, NER, RPEQ

I manage stock procurement across all warehouses in Australia and New Zealand and oversee the operation of the engineering team and AC Boards .  I'm a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and on the National Engineering Register (NER) with several years experience in providing engineering services to solar companies throughout Australasia.

Alder Martz

ACCOUNT MANAGER

I help installers access the best products, when they need them so they can plan their installations effectively and grow their business.   We provide installers with industry leading solar and storage equipment, unique equipment to make installations easier such as AC Boards and engineering services for commercial installations.

Lauren Winn

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

I support our procurement, inventory and logistics operations across Australia and New Zealand. I'm passionate about building efficient processes and working closely with our teams to ensure customers receive the products they need, when they need them.

Shannon Rodgers

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT AND HR | CertIVBusAdmin, DipTour(Mgt)

I provide support to our executive team, taking care of travel, reporting, event management, recruitment and employee experience. In addition to this, I help out across the business as required to keep everything running smoothly.

Stuart Fordyce

NATIONAL SALES AND OPERATIONS MANAGER | BEng Elect (Hons)

I manage how we help customers with purchasing, product selection and sales support. If we can make it easy for them to access the stock and information they need, they can spend more time selling and installing systems. I get a lot of satisfaction helping our customers save time and money and seeing their businesses grow.

ACCOUNT MANAGER - NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

I help installers access the right products, support and solutions to keep their projects moving forward. My focus is on understanding what matters most to my customers, being responsive and helping them find the right solution for the job. When our installers succeed, we succeed.

Jane Mahinay

SALES & OPERATIONS ANALYST

I provide support for the team by creating regular reports that detail sales performance, forecasts, and metrics, as well as collaborating with various departments. Being part of this dynamic group has allowed me to contribute effectively and feel valued.

At university I studied both electrical and power engineering, also with a focus on robotics and AI.  I’m a Cairns local and excited to be back and part of the team.  I work on solar design with a strong focus on Solar Switchboards.

Working at AC Solar Warehouse means a lot to me, as my university degree was closely connected to new forms of electrical energy, including solar. I also believe that working towards a world powered by renewable energy is essential in today's world.

I completed my Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at James Cook University (Cairns), where I pursued a software minor and gained insight into Renewables and IoT solutions. I work with the Engineering team at AC Solar Warehouse designing and delivering the highest quality switchboards and engineering services.

Currently, I am an electrical engineering student at James Cook University. Through my studies and work placements, I've particularly liked programming and getting involved in renewable energy systems. I work a couple of days a week with AC solar warehouse while completing my studies, and I really enjoy the diversity of work and the awesome people.

I’m Greg, and I’m part of the manufacturing team building our AC Boards. I actually used to run my own solar and electrical company—and was even a customer here years ago—before spending some time teaching Industrial Technology in high schools. Now, I’m excited to be back in the electrical industry, bringing extra capacity to the team so we can get our boards out to you even quicker. It’s great to be hands-on again, using my background to help support installers with gear they can rely on.

I’m Vonny, and I’m part of the team that builds AC Boards. I enjoy the hands-on work and seeing a board come together from start to finish. I’m big on keeping things neat, double-checking the details, and making sure every board goes out built to our high standards. It’s satisfying work — and even better when we know it’s making life easier for installers out in the field.

LOGISTICS OFFICER | Cert II in Business Administration

I look after transport logistics and ensure that all freight is meticulously organised. Sometimes there are delays such as late flights or weather events, so when this occurs, I find solutions and advise the account managers of any changes so they can keep customers informed.

PROCUREMENT ADMINISTRATOR | BAppSc (Rec Planning & Mgmt)

I look after inventory control which includes preparation of purchase orders, collection of stock orders into the warehouses and receipting of goods.  This includes both domestic and international orders for individual items up to container quantities.

Jake Milner

WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

I ensure the stock at the Melbourne Warehouse is safely handled and stored appropriately.  I arrange for stock to be picked and packed for customers so it can be delivered or prepared for collection, whichever the customer prefers.

Sean Dyer

WAREHOUSE OFFICER

I look after the day-to-day running of our Cairns warehouse, making sure everything’s clean, safe, and running smoothly. I’m hands-on with receiving, storing, and sending out our quality gear—making sure it all happens efficiently and accurately. I take pride in keeping things organised and ticking along without a hitch.

Max Gregory

DELIVERY & SALES COORDINATOR

I am responsible for delivering and collecting orders from customers and suppliers in the Cairns region, as well as supporting the sales team. It also includes warehouse duties such as handling incoming and outgoing stock, processing and packing orders, and assisting with the operation of the Cairns warehouse.

I was the first employee at AC Solar Warehouse many years ago and have been through three office moves with the company. I am responsible for accounts payables and freight and really enjoy liaising with our customers.

Finance Officer

I manage key aspects of our financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial reporting. I assist with reconciliations, payments, and support the Finance Manager in key processes. My role ensures smooth operations and accurate financial management for our business.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

I look after Accounts Receivable here at AC Solar Warehouse. My role involves managing customer accounts, daily banking, payment follow-ups, and helping to keep our finance systems running smoothly. I’ve worked in finance admin for many years, mostly in the legal sector here in Cairns.

Emily Taylor

FINANCE ASSISTANT

I support our Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll functions. I come from a background in property management, where I developed strong administrative expertise, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. I am excited to bring my experience to the finance team and help keep our daily operations running smoothly. It is wonderful to learn a new industry and be part of such a welcoming, forward-thinking team.
